Summary of Position: 

This description applies to both the early (7am-3:30pm) and a late (12:30pm to 9pm) Storekeeper shifts.  The emphasis for the AM shift is to strip rooms of linens and garbage and remove them quickly from common areas. The AM Storekeeper also verifies that the housekeeping carts and linen closets are fully stocked, organized and ready for the arrival of the housekeeping crew.

The PM shift assists with cleaning unfinished rooms, then stocks and organizes housekeeping carts and linen closets in preparation for the next day. After guest check -in, the PM Storekeeper responds to guest requests as directed by the Front Desk, spot cleans and disinfects the fitness center, and maintains public restrooms. The position also performs laundry and other special tasks as directed.

AM Storekeeper Primary Duties and Responsibilities:  

1. At the beginning of shift, verify housekeeping carts are stocked and ready for housekeeping staff. 
2. Immediately strip checkouts as they occur. Remove and consolidate dirty linens, towels and garbage throughout the day and take to assigned repositories. (ALSCO Closet and dumpster)
3. Report any damage to guest room, presence of pets or unusual wear and tear to manager.
4. During shift, re-stock and organize linen closets. Distribute clean incoming linens to the appropriate linen storage closets each day, such that they are fully stocked. 
5. Coordinate ALSCO arrival of clean linens, and departure of dirty linens. Rotate carts for arrival.
6. Maintain all linen and supply storage closets such that they are clean, efficient and organized. 
7. Receive and inventory all deliveries of supplies upon arrival and re-stock in approved locations. 
8. Notify Manager of needed supplies on a timely basis. 
9. Complete laundering tasks and duties and responsibilities of a Housekeeper as directed.

PM Storekeeper Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Perform the duties of the AM Storekeeper as necessary.
2. Coordinate and respond to guest requests for housekeeping supplies through Front Desk.

1. Re-stock Housekeeping carts using approved checklists, so they are ready the next day. 

1. In the evening, maintain basic security checks of entrances and storage closets.

Qualifications:

1. Able to perform the duties of a Housekeeper; Able to work around cleaning chemicals. 
2. Able to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs, bend, kneel, and maintain rigorous and sustained activity.
