What You’ll Do

Every day brings something new. You’ll be hands‑on with dogs and puppies, helping them thrive by:

• Maintaining a clean, safe, high‑quality environment in our barrier facility.
• Cleaning and disinfecting boxes, cages, pens, and outdoor yards to keep our dogs healthy and comfortable.
• Feeding dogs according to established protocols and helping maintain ideal body condition.
• Providing daily enrichment activities that keep our dogs mentally and physically stimulated — and documenting their progress.
• Playing a key role in our puppy socialization program, helping pups grow into confident, well‑adjusted companions.
• Assisting veterinary technicians with exams, sample collection, medications, and health monitoring.
• Grooming dogs (bathing, nail trims, ear cleaning) to keep them looking and feeling their best.
• Laundering bedding, towels, and uniforms, and sanitizing bowls to maintain a spotless environment.

What You Need to Bring to the position

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a kennel, veterinary practice, barn, or other animal‑care setting is a big plus.
• Ability to lift and safely handle dogs weighing 50+ lbs.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through.
• Ability to take direction, work independently, and juggle multiple priorities.
• Professionalism, discretion, and reliability.
• Willingness to work overtime when needed.
