Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Gaming Audit Clerk position is expected to maintain and keep accurately balanced records for the Vault and Cashier Departments and maintain accountability for all table games. Confident ability to trace financial transactions and follow general accepted accounting procedures to ensure the assets of the Wanaaha Casino. Applicant should be aware the Wanaaha Casino is not a smoke free environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Checking the accuracy of each payout for all cash vouchers, jackpots and malfunctions, watching for errors and correcting when necessary.
  2. Balancing each cashier and vault employee’s paperwork. Accuracy is essential to ensure there are no discrepancies.
  3. Balance out Restaurant and Gas Station daily reports.
  4. Balancing the money counting machine tapes to the actual cash drop.
  5. Posting to the computer and ensuring there is a balance to the cashier and drop figures.
  6. Ability to spot and solve problems in a timely and accurate manner.
  7. Willingness to work in any area of the Audit Department as required by the supervisor.
  8. Verify accuracy of credits-fills to CDS.
  9. Other duties as assigned. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

None 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • One (1) year of actual work experience demonstrating the knowledge and abilities, or six (6) months work-related experience with six (6) months post-secondary education or training.
  • Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of spreadsheet programs.
  • Must have ability to utilize 10-key at a speed required for the job duties.
  • Must have the ability to remain on task, detail orientated and work independently as part of the Audit Department.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to present information in a clear and effective manner when required.
  • Ability to work effectively unsupervised.
  • Must meet requirements to qualify for a Bishop Paiute Gaming License. Must pass an extensive background check. 
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

To perform this job successfully, the Team Member must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job. 

  • Required use repetitive movements to complete tasks.
  • May be required to climb or balance, stoop, bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Team Member may be occasionally required to work in low light conditions and may be exposed to loud noise for extended periods.
  • Required to work in confined, small areas for periods of time. 
  • Must lift up to 25 pounds and/or push, pull up to 50 pounds. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of the Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Noise levels are moderate to loud. Climate is subject to change from hot to cold.
