Job Description

Position Overview

As a Dining Room Assistant, you are the heartbeat of our outdoor service. Your primary goal is to support our servers and bartenders by ensuring the floor is clean, the bar is stocked, and our guests receive their orders promptly. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, open-air environment and take pride in keeping the restaurant's "vibe" seamless and professional.

Position: Full Time/ Part Time 

Key Responsibilities

Food & Beverage Support

  • Running Orders: Promptly deliver food and beverages from the kitchen and bar to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and a friendly presentation.

  • Table Maintenance: Practice "pre-bussing" by removing cleared plates, empty glasses, and debris throughout the guest's meal to maintain a clean dining space.

  • Table Resetting: Quickly clear, sanitize, and reset tables according to restaurant standards to ensure minimal wait times for incoming guests.

  • Assisting Servers: You will be assisting servers with refills on non-alcoholic drinks and ordering of bar drinks for the table (you will need to know the POS system). 

Bar & Inventory Support

  • Bar Backing: Assist bartenders by changing kegs and restocking bottled beer, wine, garnishes, batched mixes, and glassware during peak hours.

  • Heavy Lifting: Regularly replenish ice bins and transport heavy cases of liquor or kegs as needed.

  • Glassware Care: Responsible for the cleaning, polishing, and safe storage of bar glasses to ensure a constant supply for the service team.

  • Cleaning: Keeping the floors as clean as possible while the shift is in progress.


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Availability: Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, weekends, and both day and night shifts. Consistent attendance and timely is a must for our team's success.

  • Technical Skills: POS (Point of Sale) training will be provided and is a requirement of the role to ensure accurate order tracking and communication with the kitchen/bar.

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stay on your feet for long shifts and lift up to 40 lbs (ice buckets, crates, soda BIBs, etc.) in various outdoor weather conditions.

  • Speed & Efficiency: A "sense of urgency" is vital to keep up with the flow of a busy bar and dining room.
