HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Responsible for sending and receiving referrals electronically and via facsimile machine. Telephones or faxes clinical information to third party payers and health care agencies. Facilitates referrals for home care services. Facilitates assistance for patients identified as needing such for Home Health Care placement. Maintains department reports and supplies. Ensures department coverage. Ensures prior authorizations are submitted appropriately and timely. Schedules diagnostic procedures and Holter monitors with Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare (TMH) Radiology. Processes “stat” and durable medical equipment (DME) referrals.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

High Schoold diploma or equivalent

Required Experience:

Minimum: 1 year healthcare exp

Required Certification/License/Registry:

None

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS.   Three (2) years of administrative experience.  Knowledge of Allscripts, Availity, RadMD, Humana Military, Evicore, Capital Health PlanSM (CHP), and AIM Specialty Health® (AIM) insurance provider websites.  Good attention to detail.
