Responsibilities

Roxbury is currently hiring a full-time Therapist to work with our patients on our acute psychiatric units. 

This position offers you the opportunity to work with both adults and adolescents. 

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for 41 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES:

  • Provides clinical social work services on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
  • Responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy in addition to psychoeducation group development.
  • Responsible attend treatment team meetings to ensure treatment plan aligns with patient assessed needs.
  • Participates in the management of patient commitment status, discharge planning/case management service, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.
  • Completes timely chart documentation and progress notes

  • Is knowledgeable and assists in crisis management including assessment of the patient with revisions to the care plan as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical/Counseling Psychology or related Social Services field required.

EXPERIENCE: Prior experience working with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting.

LICENSING/CERTIFICATION: Licensure is not required, but preferred.

KNOWLEDGE: Prefer knowledge of case management, discharge planning, group leadership skills, age specific growth and development, crisis and behavior management, family therapy theory and practice.
