Western Forest Products Engineered is looking to hire Machine Stress Rating (MSR) Operators at our Calvert Division located in Washougal, WA. This hands-on position supports MSR production, forklift operations, and yard organization while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Shifts: 6:00am – 2:30pm, M-F (with flexibility to work some Saturdays).

Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment and random drug testing as well as background checks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate and support MSR equipment, including calibration and material flow;
  • Load and unload boards at MSR infeed and off-bearer stations;
  • Band and tarp lumber units;
  • Sort lumber by grade and color;
  • Work closely with forklift drivers and production staff;
  • Communicate and work as a team during entire process;
  • Maintain clean and organized workspace;
  • Support other areas of the operations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Labor experience is an asset but not required;
  • Steady work history, includes a good attendance record;
  • Positive attitude, ready to learn and a safety mindset;
  • Basic math skills and ability to effectively read, write and communicate in English;
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs and continuously be on your feet 90% of the time;
  • Must be able to work in moderate to warm environment; and,
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and regular random drug tests.
