About the Role:Join our secondary location, SouthPoint Services, as a Point Caller and play an essential role in the early stages of the collections process. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, persistent, and comfortable working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Your work will directly support the collections team by establishing initial contact and gathering accurate debtor information.
Position Overview:As a Point Caller, you will be responsible for initiating contact with individuals tied to delinquent accounts, verifying and updating contact information, and performing skip tracing to locate debtors. This role is heavily focused on productivity, accuracy, and thorough documentation, ensuring accounts are properly prepared for Collections Specialists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Make a high volume of outbound calls daily to establish initial contact on delinquent accounts
- Perform skip tracing to locate and verify debtor contact information using available tools and resources
- Gather and document accurate phone numbers, addresses, and other relevant contact details
- Update and maintain detailed records of all call attempts and successful contacts in the system
- Identify and document best contact methods and times for each account
- Communicate professionally while handling sensitive or difficult conversations
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies and applicable regulations
- Meet or exceed daily call quotas and productivity benchmarks
- Collaborate with team members and Collections Specialists to support overall recovery efforts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in call centers, collections support, or customer service is a plus
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to work in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with data entry systems, willing to train the right individuals
- Ability to research and analyze information effectively for skip tracing
