Audio Visual Tech

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Audio Visual Tech. In this role, you will provide setup of all functions that require audio visual equipment. To ensure accurate tracking of equipment, protecting and caring for assets and serve as a consultant for sales regarding audio visual needs of future bookings.

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure seamless sound, lighting, and visual presentations that create engaging, immersive environments for our guests.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Assist the Banquet Team to operate in a “for-profit” environment as well as ensure guest service is beyond expectations so that the Resort will meet and/or exceed budgeted expectations.
  • Set up and teardown of audio-visual equipment for assigned functions and events; Complete all AV setups for the following day.
  • Provide audio visual/technical consultation to sales managers and meeting planners/customers regarding advice for future bookings and audio-visual needs when requested.
  • Respond to and assist with all AV related help calls

What We’re Looking For 

  • General knowledge of the practices and procedures of a convention center, hotel conference services and/or banquet department.
  • Prior experience as an audio technician is preferred. 
  • Ability to utilize various types of audio-visual equipment that are owned by Kalahari Resorts or outsourced. 
  • Ability to operate in-house equipment such as telephone systems, internet, sound, lighting and computer equipment.
