POSITION TITLE:                        Catering and Events Set Up

DEPARTMENT:                             Banquet, Internal Banquets, Entertainment, WSOP

JOB GRADE/FLSA STATUS:      H10 - Non-Exempt

BADGE TYPE/COLOR:               Work Permit - Peach

REPORTS TO:                                Supervisor, Banquet Services

SUPERVISES:                                 N/A

JOB SUMMARY:

To ensure the prompt and safe set up, installation, operation, and tear down of furniture and equipment associated with any catering, event, or project held on the property.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the spotless appearance of the catering and meeting facilities, i.e., clearing away debris, vacuuming

  • Ensure all procedures, policies, health, and safety regulations set forth by the company, division, and department are followed

  • Ensure areas in the catering facilities are in compliance with the health department and fire marshal regulations and perform other job-related duties, as requested

  • Check function rooms to ensure all set-ups are in accordance with the Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and department standards

  • Complete daily set-up requirements according to departmental procedures and follow diagrams as needed

  • Place and break down movable walls as required

  • Maintain all storage facilities of tables, chairs, platforms, dance floors, display equipment, etc.

  • Communicate to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and/or other employees 

  • Timely breakdown and removal of all tables, chairs, linens, staging, and equipment and properly stored

  • Demonstrate high levels of top-box service skills on a consistent basis

  • Delight our guests with outstanding service

  • Participate in monthly inventory and counts 

  • Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions 

  • Proactive with incidents and issues, ensuring resolution with employees

  • Work on special projects as assigned

  • Other duties as required to deliver excellent service to internal and external customers

  • Adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner

  • Endorse the business objectives, ethics, and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision, and Values

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must demonstrate the following essential skills and knowledge:

  • Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes

  • Capable of working independently and taking initiative

  • Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene

  • Attention to detail/observant

  • Willing to learn and be adaptable

  • Must be able to attend to multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds

  • Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items

  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality, including secondhand smoke

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
