Job Description

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team and learn the fundamentals of composite production in the Prepreg area. This entry-level role is designed to give you hands-on experience with production machinery, including setup, safe operation, monitoring, and basic maintenance. You’ll receive training on quality control standards and gain the skills needed to advance into higher-level roles. Compensation

  • Starting pay: $24.00-$25.20
  • Compensation is reexamined on an annual basis
  • $3.00 per hour shift premium for night shift (5:45pm - 6:00am)

Schedule:

2-2-3 Schedule from 5:45am to 6:00pm (Day Shift) / 5:45pm - 6:00am (Night Shift) 

This refers to a 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off rotating schedule, and this would be the same for night and day shift. These are 12-hour shifts.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Set up and validate production machinery for proper operation.
  • Assist with machine operation to ensure smooth and efficient running and production of quality products.
  • Utilize a variety of hand tools to accomplish primary job functions including (but not limited to) scrapers, cutting tools, and carts to move material.
  • Learn to operate production equipment computer interface and process monitoring systems.
  • Assist in the inspection of products during production runs.
  • Work with others to achieve an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Clean machine to ensure proper running and operation.
  • Create and/or complete necessary production related paperwork.
  • Provide accurate and timely turnover information to the oncoming shift.
  • Maintain work area(s) in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Operate equipment including forklift, hoist, etc. to move materials and supplies.
  • Participate in team meetings.
  • Perform other related production duties as assigned.

  • Position requires the ability to read and understand diagrams.
  • Basic Knowledge of safety techniques, practices and procedures. Strong preference for hazardous chemicals knowledge and/or experience.
  • Strong written communication skills, ensuring accurate and consistent record keeping.
  • Position requires the ability to read, write, speak and understand English at a level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous production experience strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements (including but not limited to):

  • The ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists is frequent.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/push/pull up to 40 pounds.
  • The ability to lift more than 40 lbs as part of a team lift.
  • Frequently be able to stand for up to 12 hours.
  • Accurate visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses, to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Ability to frequently climb stairs, bend at the waist, kneel, twist and reach.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to be respirator fit and wear respirator if required.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.

Environmental

  • Job tasks are usually performed in a production environment.
  • Occasional exposure to a wide range of temperatures.
  • Works with potentially hazardous materials including epoxy resins and/or components.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment for extended periods of time.
