Job Description

A Kitchen Receiver is responsible for the receipt, storage and organization of all food items for the Back of House (BOH) team. Reports to the Sous Chef Manager or Chef de Cuisine.

  • Receives all food items, supplies and materials
  • Checks incoming merchandise against order sheets for accuracy in weight, quantity, order specifications
  • Maintains inventory and delivery records for BOH and related areas as prescribed by Chef de Cuisine
  • Notes all discrepancies in the daily log immediately and informs Sous Chef Manager or Chef de Cuisine
  • Stores all items at proper temperatures and observes First In First Out standards
  • Issues stored items to proper departmental personnel and keeps records of the release of those items
  • Assists in stocking or transporting items to the proper location within the store
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of kitchen experience
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Pay Rate for this is set $19 - $22 an hour.
