Job Description

Pay Range:

The base pay range for this position is

$30.64-$47.70 Hourly

however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Job Title: Sleep Tech/Polysomnographic Technician

Position Overview:

Conducts sleep studies, including diagnostic and therapeutic services.  Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to standards and guidelines established by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

A Day in the Life:

  • Performs diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies.
  • Review patient information and assure proper tests being performed.
  • Observe and document sleep stages, clinical events, position changes, and other significant events such as cardiac arrhythmias, apneas, hypopneas, and movement disorders.
  • Verify integrity of collected data.
  • Implement appropriate intervention including bilevel positive airway pressure, supplemental oxygen, etc., including consulting with medical director regarding any concerns.
  • Educates patients in sleep study procedures and responds to questions.
  • Identify safety concerns and resolve identified issues.

  • Successful completion of polysomnographic technician program and credentialed as RPSGT by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technicians. 
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication skills with physicians, colleagues, and patients.
  • Ability to learn and utilize new technologies.
  • Ability to manage time, tasks, and resources appropriately.
