Starting Compensation:

28.00 - 30.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Victorville, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, and Monday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

What you bring to SBHG:

  • Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
  • Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology required.
  • Associate degree, preferred.
  • One (1) year of service experience treating the mentally ill in an inpatient setting, preferred.
  • One (1) year of medication administration experience is required.
  • Valid California LVN or LPT license.
  • Current CPR certification
  • First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross.   

How you will make a difference:

The LVN / LPT provides direct client care including the administration of medications and supervising nursing activities performed by professional and para-professional nursing personnel on the unit. Duties include Ordering, preparing, administering, and documenting the administration of medication for clients according to physicians’ orders.  Confirming delivery of all ordered medication from the pharmacy on shift worked. Communicating pertinent information verbally and in writing to all team members. Responsible for writing a weekly summary on the client as assigned. Monitoring and maintaining appropriate nursing documentation in the medical record for the shift worked. The job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other reasonably related duties as assigned.

Division/Program Overview:

• The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in

an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours

• Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention

• All age groups – children, adolescents, adults, and older adults – who need immediate

access to crisis mental health services.

• The center provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention

and stabilization

• Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and

services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the

community.
