Responsibilities:

In this position, you will be responsible for the auditing, posting and balancing of daily transactions to support the resort continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

  • Follows audit procedures to balance daily revenue and expense transactions.
  • Identifies the causes of out-of-balance situations in a timely manner
  • Produces various reports for management and takes initiative to correct errors to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Ensures that all charges have been posted to the appropriate guest folio or master account
  • Generates housekeeping reports and prints folios departures.
  • Calculates account balance at month-end and submits to accounting.
  • Compiles daily revenue reports and files work accordingly.
  • Balance the day’s charges, making corrections, as necessary.
  • Understand principles of auditing, balancing, and closing out accounts.
  • Reports any unresolved problems with owners and guests to management.
  • Assists other departments as needed and carries out other duties as assigned by management.
  • Performs front desk agent duties especially in terms of check-in and check-out procedures.

Qualifications:

To fulfill this role successfully, you possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • In this position, you will be required to work three days as a Front Desk Clerk and two days as a Night Auditor.
  • The Front Desk operates seven days a week. The role of Front Desk Clerk/Night Auditor involves working overnight shifts, which may include weekends and public holidays.
  • High School diploma/GED
  • Proficient English language communication skills to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Associate’s Degree/College Degree
  • Customer service or similar related experience.
  • Resort hospitality experience.
