Empire Eye Clinic is a progressive ophthalmic medical and surgical practice, and we are searching Ophthalmic Technician for our Spokane Valley Clinic, with some days at our Coeur d'Alene clinic. Responsibilities:

  • Assist providers in performing clinical functions such as ophthalmic procedures, room flow, and status communication to the patient and provider
  • Ensures the patient understands all instructions.
  • Take and document patients' medical histories.
  • Operates ophthalmic equipment
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic instruments or equipment.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology
  • Problem-solving math skills
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite or G-Suite
  • Effectively work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated multitasking and adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with communication via phone, internet, and in-person
  • Ability to maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year experience as an ophthalmic assistant preferred
