Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Mental Health Clinic
Company: Associated Clinic of Psychology (ACP)
Location: 149 Thompson Ave E Suite 150, West St Paul, MN 55118   Hiring Bonus!   Are you an LPN who thrives behind the scenes and is passionate about mental health? At ACP, we’re on a mission to break down barriers to mental health services—and we’re looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse to help us make a real difference in the lives of our patients.   This is not your typical nursing role. As an LPN at ACP, you’ll provide vital administrative and clinical support to our team of psychiatric prescribers. Your day-to-day work will involve primarily phone-based patient contact (approximately 80%), helping manage medication follow-ups, triaging concerns, prescription refills, coordinating care, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and our providers. Direct patient contact will be around 10-20% of your time, making this an ideal opportunity for nurses who enjoy structured, detail-oriented work in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment.   All Voices Welcome: ACP is an AA/EOE employer, and we highly encourage BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals to apply.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide phone support for patients, including medication education, follow-up calls, and triaging concerns
  • Manage prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, and coordination with pharmacies
  • Support psychiatric prescribers with administrative and scheduling tasks
  • Serve as a compassionate and knowledgeable point of contact for patients navigating their mental health care
  • Collaborate with our administrative and clinical teams to streamline care processes and improve outcomes
  • Administer injections for outpatient clients (long acting injectables)
  • Float to other ACP clinic locations to provide coverage, if needed
  Who You Are:
  • A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing (current MN license)
  • Experienced with mental health or primary care clinic settings, or highly interested in mental health and psychiatric care
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, administrative-focused setting
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and tech-savvy (EMR experience preferred)
  • Compassionate, calm under pressure, and an excellent communicator—especially over the phone

Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday
**This role requires you to be onsite at our Apple Valley clinic, this is not a remote work position**   Benefits
In addition to a competitive salary, we recognize the work of our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a comprehensive benefits package:
  • Health insurance (Medica), dental coverage (Delta Dental), vision insurance (EyeMed), Short Term Disability and Life Insurance (Mutual of Omaha) to support you and your family
  • Our Nice Healthcare Services also offer no-cost telehealth and at-home routine and primary care visits for you and your household.  (Enrollment is contingent upon health insurance enrollment)
  • Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays
  • ACP Provided Life Insurance
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Program, 24-hour nurse line, Health Rewards and Savings Program, and fitness facility discount.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan to secure your financial future with automatic contributions regardless of employee contribution.
  • And more!
Starting Pay Range: $28-$31 hourly. Actual compensation may vary as determined by licensure, education, experience, skillset, and schedule.   About ACP: Since 1980, our mission has been to be the premier provider and employer of choice for mental health care services in the Twin Cities Metro and Western Wisconsin.
