Job Description

Coffman Engineers Houston office is growing and we’re looking for an entry-level Fire Protection Engineer who is passionate about their craft and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth.

You would support our Fire Protection Department in providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design; code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant construction analysis; smoke control analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.

Qualifications

You would support our Fire Protection Department in providing our clients with: automatic suppression system design; fire detection, alarm and mass notification system design; code analysis; egress analysis; fire resistant construction analysis; smoke control analysis; as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.

Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in engineering from accredited college or university - Fire Protection specific degree preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Experience working in AutoCAD and/or REVIT preferred.
  • General building construction knowledge preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a high-functioning team.
