Overview
Whirlwind Steel is a leading manufacturer of metal building systems, and we’re looking for a Shop Floor Associate to support daily production operations. This role works across multiple areas of the plant to help keep materials moving, assist production teams, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.

What You’ll Do

• Move raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility 
• Support production teams including machine operators, welders, and fitters 
• Assist with staging materials and preparing work areas for production 
• Perform visual inspections to ensure product quality standards are met 
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment (5S practices) 
• Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures 
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to keep operations running smoothly 
• Cross-train in different departments to support production needs 
• Complete additional tasks as needed to meet daily production goals 

Requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred 
• Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or production experience is a plus 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment 
• Strong attention to detail and reliability 
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks 
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs 
• Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled facility 
• Basic math and measurement skills 
• Overhead crane experience is a plus, but not required
