Full-Time (40 Hours per week) Part-Year Position

Johnston RI

General Responsibility: Implementing a preschool curriculum for children in a center-based setting, being knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices and the Head Start Performance Standards, planning according to the individual needs of each child, completing education paperwork, conducting developmental assessments, documenting assessment data in the web-based data management system, conducting observations of children daily, encouraging family engagement in the program, conducting home visits, maintaining a safe and healthy environment, and promoting the school readiness of children and families in the program. Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues. 

Qualifications: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or Rhode Island Early Childhood Teaching Certification. Rhode Island Early Learning and Development Standards certificate preferred.
