Graduate Nurse CICU -

Bonus:

$10,000 Bonus eligible- Nights

Available Shifts:
Nights, every other weekend
(12-hour shifts, 36 hours weekly)

Who We Are:

The Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (CICU) is a 47-bed unit with an average census of 46-47 patients.  We have 149 employees on the unit, and we specialize in cardiac/telemetry, S/P catheter, pacer, ICD, stroke & seizure, GI bleed, sepsis, and med/surg overflow. The CICU has Nurse to patient ratios of 1:4 and LNA to patient ratios of 1:10 depending on the census.

About the Job:

The CICU Graduate Nurse, under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivers care to patients and families with needs ranging from basic to complex utilizing the nursing process. Creates a therapeutic and caring environment for patient and families. Practices in a manner consistent with the Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Practice model; the ANA’s Social Policy Statement, Scope and Standards of Practice, and the Nursing Code of Ethics; and relevant specialty standards of practice.

Who You Are:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Nurses are expected to pursue professional certification upon eligibility or within three years of entering the specialty practice.
  • Graduate Nurse status is designated for those individuals who hold temporary licensure to practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This status is maintained from date of hire until the issuance of a permanent license by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. If the temporary license becomes inactive, due to failure of the NCLEX examination, the employee will no longer be eligible to remain in the Graduate Nurse position.
  • Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required.
  • Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
