Qualifications

You are at least 21 years old and possess 0-1 years of driving experience. You must have a Class A CDL permit to a Class A CDL license and be able to lift 25-50 pounds regularly, up to 170 pounds. Experience with pallet building and maintaining warehouse organization is also required.

Job Description

Schedule - Tuesday-Friday 9am - 7pm

                *Occasional Monday work.

Pay - Between $20-24/hr depending on experience

Position responsibilities:  

  • The Yard Jockey is responsible for loading straps, racks, and shippers onto truck during the loading process

  • You will assist with pallet building and unloading of trucks to maintain organization of pallets and shells

  • This role ensures that the hand trucks and tow motors are charged and put in their respective places for drivers as well as all DSD routes have a fully charged mule on trailer prior to leaving the dock 

  • The Yard Jockey maintains general cleanliness of the warehouse and yard and assists with replenishment of product in the warehouse

  • Other duties as assigned  

Required Education and Experience:  

  • Must be at least 21 years old

  • 0 to 1 plus years of specific driving experience

  • Class A CDL Permit to Class A CDL license

  • Must be able to lift products from 25 pounds to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 170 pounds 

Preferred Education and Experience:  

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree
