The Staff Accountant supports the firm’s financial operations by preparing accurate financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and performing key accounting functions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within the Corporate Accounting team.

The annual salary range for this position is $55,000.00 - $65,000.00, commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Prepare consolidated internal financial statements by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from the general ledger
  • Execute period‑end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Research and interpret financial data to respond to accounting and financial inquiries
  • Analyze accruals and revenue recognition to ensure compliance with accounting standards
  • Review accounts payable documentation for proper coding and adherence to internal policies
  • Prepare schedules and compile supporting documentation for financial audits, project audits, and FAR audits
  • Assist with preparation of tax filings
  • Maintain the fixed asset system and record related transactions
  • Support the development and maintenance of the annual budget
