Who we need

We are hiring a 3rd shift Quality Assurance Technician, Working Monday - Friday in our Lebanon, Inidana facility from 11pm - 7:30 AM, to support our Quality team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to company quality standards throughout the production process.

You will play a key role on the plant floor, conducting testing, performing inspections, and working closely with Production to ensure all products meet required specifications and food safety standards.

How you will make an impact: 

Support food safety and quality programs - You will serve as a key point of contact for Quality on shift, ensuring adherence to company food safety and quality programs, including policies outlined in the Quality Assurance Manual, Laboratory Manual, and company directives.

Conduct testing and product evaluation - You will perform standardized laboratory tests (including brix, pH, bostwick, total acid, and Vitamin C) to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

Analyze and interpret results - You will review your own and others’ test results to determine product disposition, provide feedback to Production, and support decision-making on in-process and finished goods.

Perform inspections and audits - You will complete line audits, quality inspections, and facility verification activities throughout your shift to ensure compliance with GMPs and quality standards.

Manage non-conforming materials - You will maintain hold logs, place non-conforming materials on hold, and support investigations and resolution of quality issues.

Support sanitation and environmental monitoring - You will verify plant sanitation programs by collecting and testing ATP swabs, allergen swabs, and other environmental samples.

Maintain documentation and data accuracy - You will accurately record, interpret, and maintain quality data, ensuring all records are complete and audit-ready.

Collaborate cross-functionally - You will work closely with Production and other departments, escalating quality concerns as needed and ensuring alignment on product standards.

Support lab and retention programs - You will maintain the Finished Goods Retention Program, including audits, and support lab testing procedures and sensory evaluations of raw materials and finished goods.

What you bring to the role:

The education - A Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.

The experience - 0–3 years of experience in a food manufacturing or food science environment, with exposure to quality assurance practices preferred.

The technical skills - You have an understanding of laboratory testing procedures, temperature and weight measurements, and basic math (addition and subtraction).

The communication skills - You are able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

The mindset - You are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and product quality.
