Program Analyst, Institutional Rates

Markets provides solutions to clients with the means to manage their exposure through various derivatives, lending and cash products across Structured Products Group, Macro, Equities, Municipal Products Group, Credit Sales & Trading.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Program Analyst, Institutional Rates in Corporate & Investment Banking as part of Markets. This Macro Analyst position will support insurance and pension sales through the trading of interest rate products, including Treasury and agency securities, interest rate swaps, options, futures, cross currency transactions, and repurchase agreements. In this role, you will:

  • Participate in or provide support for initiatives within Securities Sales to meet the clients objectives
  • Review issues, policies or procedures for which answers can be quickly obtained, related to tasks and deliverables
  • Receive direction from a manager
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, compliance, and risk management requirements for the Securities Sales area
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal and external clients

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Outstanding knowledge of interest rate products and their applications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, VBA, and PowerPoint
  • Strong quantitative, research, and analytical skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, team oriented environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Desire and ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners as part of a team
  • Experience implementing artificial intelligence solutions
  • BS or BA degree or higher in business administration, economics, finance, STEM, or a related field 

Job Expectations:

  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 (or 79) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire. In accordance with FINRA rules, individuals who are subject to statutory disqualification are not eligible to be associated with a FINRA-registered broker-dealer. Successful candidates must also meet and comply with ongoing regulatory obligations, which include periodic screening and mandatory reporting of certain incidents.
  • Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

$90,000.00 - $150,000.00
