Job Description
SUMMARY:
Is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of a selected number of guest rooms assigned within a section.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Provide the highest quality of services to the customer at all times.
Clean and return vacant dirty rooms to a vacant ready status and occupied dirty rooms to an occupied ready status.
Maintaining the ability to clean a number of rooms per day.
Maintaining the ability to clean a guest room in required timeframe. .
Cleaning includes: light fixtures, ceiling and vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, floors, carpets, bathroom area. Bathrooms must be free of hair.
Notify supervisor of bedspreads, which need to be cleaned, and spots on carpets, which need to attention.
Replenish supplies on cart such as drinking glasses and linen by taking these items back to the linen room and restocking your cart.
Remove and replace garbage when full and put in designated area.
Maintain a clean housekeeping cart and linen room.
Assist in maintaining other areas of the hotel in a clean and orderly condition.
Must maintain consistently high standards, which will be monitored by the Supervisor.
Report anything in the room, which needs to be fixed to your Supervisor right away (light bulbs replaced, air conditioning, scratched or broken furniture, etc.)
Must wear proper uniform at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance policy.
Greet guests in the hallway and respond to the guest’s request immediately.
Have a thorough knowledge of emergency and safety procedures.
Be able to move luggage, packages, or furniture weighing up to 40 lbs.
Employee must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook.
Carry out any reasonable request by Management that I am capable of performing.
