Position Summary

The Physical Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy services with a primary focus on pediatric patients. This role is responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans through comprehensive assessment, evaluation, documentation, and therapeutic intervention. The Physical Therapist also contributes to departmental growth through program development, policy review, and staff education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat pediatric patients using evidence-based physical therapy practices
  • Develop individualized plans of care to maximize patient function and outcomes
  • Accurately document evaluations, treatments, progress, and discharge plans
  • Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Assist with development, review, and implementation of departmental policies and programs
  • Provide education and supervision to therapy staff and students as appropriate
  • Promote family-centered care and patient safety at all times

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program 
  • Current Physical Therapist license in the state of South Carolina (or eligible)
  • Experience or strong interest in pediatric physical therapy preferred
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist in the state of South Carolina.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain within 60 days of hire.
  • Prior experience as a Physical Therapist preferred
