Production Machining CNC Operator | JOB DESCRIPTION

Essential Functions

• Produce work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitively lifting and placing metal work pieces into fixtures manually and repetitively.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Check quality of product machined using dial caliper, height gage, and other gages and notify supervisor of any process issues.
• Understand start-up and shut down for the machines.
• Perform operator maintenance and housekeeping per established schedules.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to Production Manager or Shift Lead.
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
• Works under general guidance of the Shift Lead.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Production Machining operator has a strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and written procedures. 
• One year of related machine shop experience.
• Training in general machine shop safety.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a manufacturing or industrial setting with exposure to conditions including, but not limited to, elevated noise levels, sharp objects, moving mechanical equipment, and vibration.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. frequently. Must be able to stand for long periods while performing the duties of this job.

Performs other duties as assigned. Performs tasks beyond the essential functions to meet business needs, ensure operational continuity, and/or handle unexpected situations.

Job#1: 1st Shift - Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm
Job#2: 2nd Shift - Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Job#3: Weekend Shift -
Saturday & Sunday 6:00am-2:30pm, Monday - Wednesday 6:30am-3pm
