Receiving Clerk

As a Receiving Clerk you’ll be responsible for accepting deliveries in good order and expediting them to departments throughout the store. There are always opportunities for advancement at Jungle Jim’s, and many of our support personnel have moved up into key positions in the company. Job Duties

• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times.

• Use a variety of equipment safely and correctly.

• Check in deliveries and inspect for quality, completeness, and document accuracy.

• Notify appropriate store departments of deliveries and ensure prompt collection.

• Ensure proper handling of perishable products during delivery.

• Additional tasks and duties as circumstances warrant. Expect the unexpected!

Requirements

• Work environment includes continuous interaction with vendors and co-workers in a fast-paced environment.

• Must be 18 or older.

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, squat, and climb for up to 8 - 10 consecutive hours.

• Forklift experience.

• Lifting, moving and carrying up to 50lbs.

• Schedule may entail weekends, and holidays.

• Basic computer, math, and data entry skills.

• Excellent prioritization and time management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Excellent verbal communication skills.

• Previous experience in distribution, receiving or warehouse operations.
