Description

The Procurement Specialist processes orders from all departments and schedules deliveries for supplies, materials, equipment, and services. They also ensure that Mittera’s materials and products meet all specifications as well as locate key suppliers and negotiate purchasing agreements to get higher quality goods at the lowest prices possible. They are also responsible for the front desk functions which include answering calls and assisting visitors. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization.
  • Evaluate and negotiate pricing with vendors.
  • Track inventory and restock goods when needed.
  • Answer incoming calls on a multi-line digital phone system.
  • Check-in visitors using a tablet and directing internal contacts.
  • Maintain common and visitor areas.
  • Process and maintain carrier deliveries according to production schedule.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and new products.
  • Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 - 3 years of previous office experience preferred.
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Effective communications skills with all levels within the organization, clients, and outside vendors.
  • Thorough understanding of office management procedures.
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office.
