Job Description

OverviewAdirondack Beverages is looking to add a Quality Specialist to their team.

  • Create Certificates of Analysis (COAs) for customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in their delivery.
  • Facilitate third-party lab testing for products as needed, monitoring the types of testing and when it is required. 
  • Review lab results to ensure that quality standards are being upheld and customer requirements are being met    
  • Review in-house lab testing results, notifying Quality Manager of any out-of-specification results.                                                            
  • Monitor and report on yields as assigned and notify Quality Manager of any issues or high losses.
  • Perform routine product inspections on the line, looking for dents, wrinkles, code quality, seam/cap application quality, correct material usage, label application, etc.
  • Support Quality Lab Technicians as needed and assist with questions regarding product specifications and sample collection.
  • Auditing the accuracy of recordkeeping regarding lot numbers and batch ingredients. 
  • Work closely with Quality Manager, Quality Supervisors, syrup technicians, lab technicians, line foreman, receiving and shipping warehouse teams, and production schedulers to help improve efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow. 
  • Perform miscellaneous projects as needed. 
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality. 

Job Requirements:
•    Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
•    Strong analytical skills
•    Ability to read, write and keep records
•    Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word

Physical Requirements:
•    Ability to “be on your feet” from beginning to end of shift.
•    Able to lift materials up to 50 pounds
