Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Kennel Receptionist to join our team! Our mission is to provide compassionate, high-quality care for our patients and an exceptional level of service for the owners who love them. We aim to provide a fun, safe, and clean space in our kennel for pets to stay while their owners are away. Our ideal candidate must have a love for animals, strong communication skills and previous experience in customer service, sales or reception.

To best serve our clients and their pets, a weekend shift commitment and select holidays are required.

Responsibilities:

  • Check-in and check-out pets for boarding and grooming
  • Greet clients, enter or update client and pet information into the practice computer system
  • Answer phones and schedule appointments
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide information about products and services
  • Maintain a clean and healthy environment
  • Handle general care tasks such as walking dogs, feeding animals and cleaning cages as needed
  • Assist in restraining and bathing animals as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or reception required
  • Previous experience in animal handling or kennel care preferred
  • Ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to interact with animals in a calm, non-threatening manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
