Job Title: Inside Sales Intern

Department: Sales

Reports to: Operations Manager

Job Summary: 

The Inside Sales Intern will work alongside the Inside and Outside Sales Reps.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Expedite open orders for the sales team
  • Make outbound phone calls to vendors and customers, following up on sales opportunities and orders
  • Email customers and vendors, following up on sales opportunities and service issues
  • Answer inbound customer service calls as needed
  • Work with the sales team to enter sales orders and quotes
  • Assist on miscellaneous projects as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Enrolled in a college program such as Industrial Business 
  • Experience with Inside Sales and/or distribution experience. 
  • Experience in working with Field Sales and executing sales campaigns
  • Experience with implementing incentive plans to increase sales & improve profitability

Required Skills / Abilities: 

  • Excellent communication skills; including written, interpersonal and listening 
  • Ability to be creative and innovative
  • Organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to retain product and process knowledge 
  • Accuracy & attention to detail 
  • Confidence and professionalism in representing the Company

  • Understands product numbers & alpha/numeric codes
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency with Outlook
  • Basic computer skills with Microsoft Windows, web browsers, etc

Physical Requirements / Work Conditions: 

  • Required to sit/stand at desk 
  • Occasionally lift-up to 50 Lbs.
