Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Translate Ecological Consultant Reports: Convert complex ecologist reports into concise, accessible one-pager ecological management plans for site managers.
  • Develop a Practical Biodiversity Toolkit: Research and compile best management practice guides on invasive species management, light pollution reduction, native planting strategies, and pesticide alternatives.
  • Create Visual Communication Materials: Design site-specific posters showcasing native species plantings at our sites to celebrate conservation successes.
  • Drive Employee Engagement: Support the Biodiversity Photo Contest and develop educational content ("Did You Know?" facts, newsletter articles) to inspire participation.
  • Gain Field Experience: Participate in site visits to select Northeast locations alongside an external ecologist to observe biodiversity initiatives firsthand and inform your resource development (transportation provided).

Qualifications

Education/Experience/Background:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of an ecological or environmental program (Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, Botany, Natural Resource Management, or related field).
