Description

Troubleshoot and diagnose the AC & DC electric motor repairs that need to be made, and the parts required for the repairs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

Disassemble, and inspect AC and DC electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and more
Troubleshoot and diagnose the repairs that need to be made, and the parts required for the repairs
Perform incoming and outbound testing including meg ohm, surge test, and test running the motors
Troubleshooting, assembly, and test running repaired equipment
Ability to operate overhead hoists and drive a forklift

Requirements

Skills/Abilities:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and safety protocol.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Mechanical Aptitude a plus.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs.
Valid driver’s license

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Related experience and/or training are strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
