Job Description
The Field Engineer supports the project team by assisting with on-site coordination, quantity tracking, documentation, and daily progress monitoring. This role is designed as a developmental position, providing hands-on exposure to field operations, project controls, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Attend and observe pre-job and planning meetings.
Review project plans, schedules, and related documentation.
Track installed quantities in the field and assist with progress reporting.
Verify material deliveries and track delivery tickets for accuracy.
Observe and report daily progress on assigned job sites.
Maintain accurate quantity logs and material delivery records.
Begin developing communication skills with customers and vendors under guidance.
Assist with project layout, measurements, and field documentation under direct supervision.
Learn and utilize InEight or other project tracking systems for reporting and documentation.
Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
Developing organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to coordinate and communicate with Project Managers and Superintendents.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook preferred).
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Internship or field experience is a plus but not required.
Willingness to work in a field environment and travel as needed.
