Job Summary:  

Responsible for ensuring efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, and supply chain support.  Involves handling raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production operations while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, store, and distribute raw materials, components, and supplies to production areas as needed.
  • Move finished goods to designated storage or shipping areas.
  • Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or carts safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and participate in full inventory audits.
  • Ensure materials are correctly labeled and stored in designated locations.
  • Verify the accuracy of incoming shipments by inspecting and comparing delivery notes to purchase orders.
  • Prepare and package products for shipping, ensuring proper documentation is included.
  • Coordinate with carriers and logistics teams to manage shipments efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of material transactions in inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP software).
  • Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and ISO standards for handling and storing materials.
  • Document and report any non-conforming materials to quality assurance teams.
  • Ensure materials are delivered to production lines promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with kitting processes by assembling materials required for specific production jobs.
  • Comply with OSHA and company safety standards while handling materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and material storage areas.
  • Perform scheduled PM’S on the Material handling system, installing conveyance lines, and also repairs dryers and hoppers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in material handling or warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Ability to be forklift certified.
  • Experience in a medical manufacturing or other regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, and ISO 13485 standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of standing.
  • Frequent walking.
  • Ability to lift, move, or carry materials or products up to50 lbs.
  • Performing tasks that involve frequent hand and arm motions.
  • Bending, squatting, reaching, or twisting when handling equipment or accessing supplies.
  • Climbing of ladders or step stools to reach elevated items.
  • Ability to hear and/or see alarms or alerts from machinery or work environment.
  • Performs keying functions on a computer or equipment.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
