Job Description
Certified Athletic Trainer - Virtus Academy
McLeod Sports Medicine has an opening for a full time Certified Athletic Trainer. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for daily practice and game coverage including management of injuries, organization and administration, implementation of sport performance programming, and record keeping. Additionally, the Athletic Trainer will have the opportunity to provide outreach services to club, city recreation, or collegiate teams as well.
The Athletic Trainer will be part of the sports medicine team following policies and procedures and working under the direction of our medical director. McLeod Sports Medicine employs a team of 25 athletic trainers. Athletic Trainer must be able to work in a team setting and work in a progressive atmosphere.
Department Description
McLeod Sports Medicine is housed in a two-year old 25,000 square foot outpatient rehabilitation facility. Our orthopedic and sports therapy services are available for individuals with acute or chronic orthopedic and sports-related conditions.
Virtus Academy is a 1A sized public charter high school in Florence, SC with approximately 184 students (9th -12th grade). Virtus Academy has 6 sports with 13 teams. They will play in Region 10 along with Coastal, Green Sea Floyds, Lake View, Latta, Marion, and Mullins High Schools.
Work Schedule: 80 hours Biweekly. Full Time
