Job Description

The Legal Administrative Assistant Intern supports attorneys and administrative staff with day-to-day office operations while gaining hands-on experience in a legal environment. This role is designed for individuals interested in pursuing a career in law, legal administration, or office management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing and maintaining client files (physical and electronic)
  • Support document preparation, formatting, and proofreading
  • Help schedule meetings, calls, and appointments for legal staff
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
  • Assist with client intake processes and basic correspondence
  • Observe and support court filing procedures (as appropriate)
  • Conduct light research and compile information for cases or administrative needs
  • Handle general office tasks such as copying, scanning, and filing
  • Provide front desk support, including greeting clients and answering phones
