The Mixer Operator performs general production duties to support Manufacturing goals that align with production scheduling, continuous improvement, standard operating procedures and safety initiatives.

· Operate manufacturing equipment within Company specifications and procedures, as assigned.

· Manufacture Company products within the specifications given and follow Company procedures, as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Team Lead

· Accurately record all batch information into EBC

· Prepare and setup correct quantities of raw materials for production lines, as scheduled by the master production schedule and assigned by the Production Supervisor or Team Lead

· Prepare product samples for Quality Control Department according to Company policies and procedures, for in-process and final product testing

· Move rejected and re-work materials to proper storage areas as directed by the Quality Control department

· Transfer finished products to correct storage and shipping containers and label according to Company policies and procedures

· Move finished goods from production lines to warehouse, check for established storage location or stock items as necessary and notify Production Supervisor or Team Lead.

· Move excess materials from production lines, estimate quantities, prepare material return record and store material in proper location

· Use forklift and other hand tools in a safe manner, following company policies and procedures

· Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition

· This position is also required to perform other related duties as assigned by the department manager or president

Requirements

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED. General understanding of manufacturing and/or chemical environment preferred. Must possess basic math skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, wear a full face respirator, and stand for the majority of an 8-hour day in an environment consisting of heat, dust and dirt.
  • Heavy lifting and excellent attendance are required.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.

Must comply with all Federal, State, and Local, safety and environmental regulations, along with the Company’s quality, safety, and environmental policies.
