The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, including assisting with daily living activities and monitoring patient vitals. They also perform clerical duties, maintain equipment, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient department operations.
Qualifications
You have a high school diploma or GED equivalent, a CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA, and AHA BLS Provider CPR certification. You also possess at least one year of acute care experience, or six months if currently enrolled in a full-time RN program with at least one completed clinical semester.

Physical Requirements: Constant (67-100% of workday) walking, standing, use of arms and hands; frequent (34-66% of workday) bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting; ability to lift 35 lbs.; ability to push and pull 20 lbs.; auditory and visual skills to include color determination; ability to work in confined spaces; ability to reach above/overhead.

Environmental Requirements and Exposure Hazards: Potential risk of exposure to radiation and toxic chemicals. Potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens; must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
