Division/Department: Assigned Department Location: Head Start - Onsite Reports To: Assigned Program Manager Probationary Period: 90 days – Full time FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (hourly) Classification: Child-Related CA Driver’s License: Level 0 - No Driver's License required Hiring Incentive: $1,500.00

Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa

The Fond du Lac Reservation is one of six Chippewa Indian Reservations in the state of Minnesota organized as the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe under Section 16 of the Indian Reorganization Act (Wheeler-Howard) of June 28, 1934 as amended. The governing body of the Fond du Lac Reservation is the Reservation Business Committee, which is composed of a Chairperson, Secretary/Treasurer, and Three Representatives; one from District 1, Cloquet; one from District 2 Sawyer; and one from District 3, Brookston. All are elected to four-year terms on a staggered basis with the Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer also serving as members of the Executive Committee of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe. Written personnel policies provide for the daily operation and supervision of tribal programs and staff.
