Job Description
As part of an accredited and approved audiology doctorate program, participates collaboratively and under supervision in various hearing aid dispensary activities. Assists in administering a variety of audiological tests to evaluate, diagnose and treat hearing disorders.
Job Responsibility
Performs minor repairs to amplification devices during dispensary walk in hours.
Takes ear mold impressions, dispenses ear molds, programs and dispenses hearing aids and assistive listening devices.
Provides hearing aid and assistive listening device assistance and education to outpatients.
Replenishes hearing aid related inventory/stock items as required; conducts inventory checks.
Verifies invoices against shipments received; stores product in appropriate locations.
Assists in administering a variety of audiological tests to evaluate, diagnose and treat hearing disorders.
Maintains control records of invoices, products and items shipped.
Updates manufacturers’ software, as needed.
Assists with monthly dispensary room reviews; assures each room is stocked with appropriate supplies and patient literature.

Job Qualification
Bachelor Degree, required or equivalent combination of education and related experience. Enrollment in an Audiology Doctoral program, required.
Current NYS Hearing Aid Dispensing Trainee License (TCHD) or Licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser (AUDD), required.
0-1 years of technical experience, required.
