Job Description

Specialized Marketing International (SMI), a division of EURPAC Services, Inc., has over 50 years of proven success representing consumer package goods (CPG) within the complex Military Resale Channel. SMI provides comprehensive sales and marketing service solutions to our clients. Our processes and proprietary technology are designed to deliver success in this unique retail channel. We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team!. This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday.  

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate monthly pricing and product database by working closely with the manufacturers and retailers.
  • Maintain system pricing and promotion, keeping clients and retailers informed.
  • Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship in the day-to-day activities of Business Manager, working independently.
  • Work closely with retailers and clients, providing item set-up, suggested order quantities and related forecasting requirements as needed.
  • Prepare reports by Business Development Manager or Client for analysis. (Microsoft Access) Level 3 (Advanced) Microsoft Excel
  • Run and analyze market information (i.e., Nielsen, IRI, Retailer POS), ability to draw conclusions on own.
  • Track presentations and category reviews submitted to military retailers, analyzing final results for future presentations and planning.
  • Interfacing with retail sales team, clients, retailer buyers and support personnel.
  • Initiate and answer correspondence related to primary tasks, and as directed by Business Manager.
  • Perform general administrative duties.
  • Perform ad hoc requests for business manager as deemed necessary for service to client and customer
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties, including coordinating and managing distribution of point of sale materials, product samples, coupons, and other retail assets.
  • Monthly syndicated data analysis of category and manufacture businesses
  • Monthly/Quarterly performance reports as directed by the Business Manager

KEY RESULTS AREAS:

  • Responsible for Client pricing, promotions and product database management with each retailer.
  • Ability to run the day-to-day activities of Business Manager.
  • Prepare promotions and/or analysis for Business Managers final review.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Well developed Interpersonal skills, organized, multi-tasked, team player, creative, sense of urgency, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Accurate Data Entry Skills.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Associate Degree

4 year college degree is preferred
