Job Description

Job Summary: Cleans rooms to ensure orderly and attractive conditions in the hotel. Promotes an atmosphere of cleanliness and superior customer care for hotel guests.   Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and  other work areas
  • Strip linens from guest rooms
  • Abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
  • Vacuum, sweep, dust, and clean rooms to hotel standards
  • Refurnish the room with supplies, towels etc.
  • Take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Park Place Hotel

Since 1930, Park Place Hotel & Conference Center has stood as a landmark destination in Downtown Traverse City, Michigan. In 2018 the 16,000 square foot Conference Center was completed. You will see it detailed in the property guide which I have included. Tower guest rooms were refurbished in 2018, and the wing guest rooms in 2019. Here at the Park Place, we created a program that we refer to as “Perfect Meetings;” it is a team approach, instilled in all team members property wide, and our goal is very simple, with efficiency, innovation, and a can-do attitude, we strive to exceed your expectations. With the current limitations for indoor gatherings at 50; we are still able to effectively host board meetings or executive staff retreats; and we remain diligent in providing a safe, peaceful, and productive stay for all our guests.
