Job Description

Responsible for assembling various documents and/or customer provided materials into completed kits

Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-assembly duties such as; prepping boxes, stocking assembly area, gathering materials, and organizing work area
  • Follow detailed procedures to perform routine packing work, collating materials as necessary 
  • Pick and package a variety of printed materials or related items that require a variety of packing procedures and techniques.  
  • Assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping in accordance with customer specifications 
  • Count and sort inventory as required 
  • May prepare shipments of customer samples.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
  • Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
  • Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
  • Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee. 
  • Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
  • Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
  • Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
  • Job requires the ability to exert up to 20 to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 - 25 lbs. of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Responsible for training and supporting new and existing team members as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • Shift Hours: 6:30 am to 2:30 PM

Additional Information

The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $15.30 - $19.28 / hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
