The Front Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals, creating a welcoming and professional experience. This role is essential to maintaining efficient front office operations, including patient check-in, scheduling, and communication with clinical staff. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional patient service across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner 
  • Schedule, reschedule, and manage appointments using EHR systems 
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and required documentation 
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls appropriately 
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA 
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding patient arrivals and needs 
  • Assist with billing inquiries and process patient payments as needed 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked front desk area 
  • Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and reporting 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Previous experience in a medical/healthcare setting 
  • Prior front desk or administrative experience 
  • Proficiency with EHR systems and Microsoft Office 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
