Onboard Systems Hoist & Winch, located in Anaheim, CA is one of the world’s leading providers of Search & Rescue (SAR) and Human External Cargo (HEC) advanced mission equipment for civil, commercial, and military helicopters.

Position Overview 

This is a union position covered under a collective bargaining agreement. 

Starting pay is $27.50 per hour per the union contract.

The ability to pass a pre-employment background check and an FAA-regulated drug test is required.

Location: Anaheim, CA (Onsite)

Shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm – 11:00pm

The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling products to blueprint specifications while adhering to strict quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently and within a team, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment. 

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble aerospace products in accordance with blueprint specifications and defined quality standards.
  • Use hand tools and equipment to perform various assembly tasks, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Obtain necessary training to acquire relevant skills, knowledge, and certifications for the job.
  • Inspect parts and assembled products to detect and resolve any quality defects or discrepancies.
  • Follow all relevant quality systems and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area, ensuring proper care and handling of materials and tools.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet production goals and deadlines.

Who You Are

  • This position requires the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing, to complete inspection reports and understand safety and quality standards.
  • High School Diploma or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of Aerospace or Automotive industry experience. Graduation from an Aerospace or Automotive technical program can substitute for experience.
  • Prior manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow detailed test instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and lift materials regularly.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods during the assembly process.
  • Minimum 20/30 vision with the ability to see small parts and components.
