Job Description
UPMC Bedford is looking for a fulltime CT Technologist to work 2nd and 3rd shift. This position includes weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement to adjust protocols, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic CT purposes.
Demonstrates a strong ability to interact with both patients and co-workers, while displaying a high level of caring, listening, dignity and respect. Able to work as team member within the department and all other departments to expedite patient care efficiently.
CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6months of hire date.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist is required or certified by a CNMT program. ARRT registry eligible technologist must obtain ARRT registry within 6 months of hire date. CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire if primary registry is already obtained. CNMT graduates must obtain CNMT registry within 6 months of hire date.
CPR or BLS Required. CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.If practicing under a temporary permit: cannot administer IV contrast or participate in contrast-enhanced CT requiring IV administration duties, must be under direct supervision of licensed radiologic technologist, must obtain ARRT certification within 180 days of permit issue date. Temporary permits expire 180 days from date of issuance, or upon notice that license application denied, or ten days after notification of failure of licensing exam, whichever occurs first.
