Job Description

We are a busy, patient-centered dental practice providing care for both children and adults. Our team is friendly, supportive, and committed to delivering high-quality dentistry in a welcoming environment. The Dental Hygienist is responsible for providing preventive dental care and patient education while supporting a smooth, efficient schedule in a fast-paced practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy office, values teamwork, and enjoys building strong relationships with patients of all ages. SPANISH SPEAKING IS A PLUS******

Responsibilities

  • Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planing as appropriate

  • Take and review dental radiographs

  • Conduct periodontal charting, gather health histories, and update patient records

  • Educate patients (kids, teens, and adults) on oral hygiene, home care, and preventive strategies

  • Apply fluoride and sealants

  • Assist with sterilization and operatory turnover following infection control protocols

  • Communicate findings clearly to the doctor and collaborate on patient care plans

  • Help maintain an efficient schedule while delivering a great patient experience

Qualifications

  • Current Dental Hygienist license in NY

  • CPR/BLS certification 

  • Excellent chairside manner and communication skills

  • Comfortable working with both pediatric and adult patients

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety/infection control

  • Experience with Open Dental preferred (not required)
